Privacy Policy
Effective 22 September 2026
- No account. No bank login. No sign-up of any kind.
- Everything you add stays on your phone. We never receive it.
- Receipts and screenshots you share with the app are read on your phone and never uploaded.
- No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no data sold or shared.
This policy explains how the Due Radar app for Android ("Due Radar", "the app") handles your information. Due Radar is made by Umbra Labs ("we", "us").
1. Information you enter
You can add bills, subscriptions, free trials, documents (such as a passport or driving licence expiry date), warranties, amounts, dates, notes and links. This information is stored only on your device, in the app's private storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we have no server that stores it.
Please don't put sensitive numbers (such as full card numbers or passport numbers) in notes. The app doesn't need them.
2. Information we collect
None. Due Radar does not collect, transmit or store personal data on our systems. It contains no advertising, no analytics and no tracking software, and it does not use your advertising ID or location.
Receipts, screenshots and messages you share
You can share a receipt, a screenshot, a photo of a bill, or the text of an email or message with Due Radar (or pick an image or paste text inside the app) to fill in a new item. Due Radar only sees the text or image you choose to share. It reads it on your phone to find the name, price and dates, and doesn't keep or upload the image or text.
Text in images is recognised on your phone by Google's ML Kit text recognition, which is built into the app and works offline. Your images and their text are not sent to Google or to us. As described in Google's ML Kit terms, the ML Kit component may send Google technical diagnostics and usage statistics about the component itself (for example, how long recognition took); this does not include your images or their text.
App updates
When you pull down to refresh, the app checks our website (hosted on Google Firebase) for a newer version and, if there is one, downloads it. This request contains no information about you or your items. Like any website, our hosting provider may briefly log standard technical details of the request, such as your IP address.
3. Backups
If Android backup is turned on for your Google account, Android may include Due Radar's data file in your device backup so your items come back when you set up a new phone. That backup is created and stored by Google under your Google account and its privacy terms; we can't access it. You can turn Android backup off in your phone's settings.
You can also save a backup file or export a spreadsheet (CSV) from the app. Those files go wherever you choose to save or send them.
4. Purchases
Due Radar Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play. Google processes the payment. We don't receive your card or payment details. Google may share limited order information with us (such as an order number, the product bought and your country) so we can confirm the purchase and handle refunds. Google's own privacy policy applies to the payment.
5. Permissions the app uses
- Notifications: to show your reminders. You can turn them off any time.
- Alarms & reminders (optional): only if you turn on "On-time reminders", so reminders arrive at the exact time you set.
- Run at startup: so your reminders are set again after the phone restarts.
- Google Play billing: for the optional Pro purchase.
- Internet: only to check for and download app updates.
Due Radar doesn't access your contacts, camera, microphone, location or bank accounts, and it can't browse your photos or read your messages. It only sees a photo or text when you choose to share or pick it. Links you save (for example a "cancel subscription" page) open in your web browser, and that website's own privacy policy applies.
6. Keeping or deleting your data
Your data stays on your phone until you delete it. You can delete a single item, or everything, in Settings → Delete all data. Uninstalling the app also removes its data from your phone (but not any backup files you saved yourself, or Android backups stored by Google).
7. Children
Due Radar is meant for adults managing their own bills and documents. It is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we don't collect or hold your data, you can exercise these rights directly in the app. If you have any question or request, contact us and we'll answer.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we'll update this page and the date above before the change takes effect. If a change is significant, we'll also mention it in the app.
